Animals for Science

Animals in Science

Humans have long sought to alter animals to meet specific purposes, and with advances in science it is easier than ever to use and abuse animals in the name of science. From conducting cruel experiments to manipulating animals’ genetic makeup, scientists treat animals as mere resources to be expended for human benefit.

With alternatives to using live animals readily available there is no need for animals to keep being abused by science.

Some key areas of concern:

-vivisection

-xenotransplantation

-import and breeding of primates for research

-cosmetic testing

-genetic engineering

-dissection in schools
